Belfast Castle Visitors Centre

"what are we doing today?"

Located on the lower slopes beneath Cave Hill Belfast Castle, built in the 1860s, is one of Belfast's most outstanding and historically significant buildings.

The newly refurbished Cave Hill Visitor Centre is divided into four separate rooms, each telling part of the story of Belfast Castle – who built the castle, its residents over the years, including examples of how the rooms might have looked in the 1920s when the castle was a family home.

Find out about the people who once lived on Cave Hill – from Stone Age times to today - and learn about the plants and animals that live in different areas of the hill.
